I Like Pie Bakeshop Expands With New California Locations, Nationwide Shipping

Claremont bakery known for unique, personal pies opening in Pasadena

Since opening its flagship store in Claremont Village in 2012, I Like Pie Bakeshop has developed a cultlike following for its scrumptious sweet and savory personal pies. This November, in celebration of its 10-year anniversary, I Like Pie Bakeshop is bringing its personal-pie concept to a new location in Pasadena.

Earlier this fall, I Like Pie also rolled out nationwide shipping making its menu of mini, personal, and full-size pies available coast to coast.

“Delighting customers with their own, individual pie experience over the past decade has been a dream come true,” says Annika Corbin, owner of I Like Pie. “We’re thrilled to bring that experience to Pasadena and to give non-local customers, and all pie lovers, a chance to get scrumptious, beautiful pies shipped to their door.”

I Like Pie launched with a mission to make traditional pie more portable, versatile, and fun — something to enjoy anytime. The result: adorable cupcake-shaped pies, portable handpies, two-bite mini pies, and gorgeous full-size 10” pies. The bakery crafts traditional favorites and seasonal specialties in sweet and savory flavors, including vegan and gluten-free options.

To support its growth, ILP hired Executive Chef David Man as the new head chef. Man will lead the growing baking team and play an integral role as the bakery expands.

“We’re excited to welcome Chef Man to I Like Pie,” says Corbin. “With his extensive background in culinary excellence, Chef Man is the perfect partner to develop and guide our growing baking operation and mentor our pie-making teams.”

I Like Pie plans to continue its California expansion with locations in Orange County, the Newport Beach area, and Downtown L.A. In addition to its storefronts, the bakery offers catering for all occasions. Also in the works is a commissary kitchen, the Bakeshop, which will offer event and meeting space as well as pie-baking classes.
