Long-awaited Quinceanera is a wish come true for Phoenix teen
Cinderella ball put on by Make-A-Wish Foundation of Arizona
Phoenix, Ariz. – Mayra’s leukemia made her too sick to have a traditional Quinceanera on her 15th birthday, and she was still undergoing treatment the following year for her Sweet 16. So, when Mayra found out she could have a wish granted through the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Arizona, she wanted an unforgettable birthday bash for her 18th birthday.
This wish is coming true Friday, Feb. 15, at Mayra’s very own Cinderella Ball. Mayra will arrive just after 6 p.m. in a horse and carriage to greet her guests. The ball’s festivities will include the traditional waltz, the muneca ceremony, mariachis, live music, a DJ, a candy bar, a chocolate fountain and an Italian soda fountain. Mayra will dance the night away with her 150 guests until her grand exit at the stroke of midnight.
